“The Story” is a new discipleship program that we will begin as a Church family this Fall. “The Story” is designed to make reading the Bible easier and to help families to discover the Bible together. By integrating lessons for Preschool children all the way to Senior Adults, the story helps each of us learn about God in a new way!
The program is designed to be simple. We’ll begin each week with a family style dinner in our Family Life Center, and then break up into appropriate age groups to go over our lessons each week. Adults will sit around tables with other adults, and children and Youth will participate in the story in their own classrooms. We will end each week with a brief worship moment and Holy Communion.
In hopes that the time spent on Wednesday is a time for families and church fellowship, we are encouraging all to come for dinner beginning at 5:15 pm. Dinner costs are $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12, with a maximum of $20 per household. (Please be sure to RSVP weekly on Sundays for dinner, or make a “standing reservation.” Reservation forms are available at the information tables, on the Connect Cards, or by contacting the church office.)
Be sure to pick up your “The Story” Bible which is designed to be easy to read and get the message for all age groups. We want every child and youth to have a bible at no cost. Adult Bibles will be given out with a recommended donation of $5.
