United Methodist Women
This year, I hope to see the Greenwood United Methodist Women expand in numbers, expand friendships, expand our impact within our congregation and expand our reach into our community and around the world.
You know that there are deep bonds of friendship in our UMW unit. My hope is that these bonds will continue to spread to as many of the women in our church as possible. After all, every woman in the church is, by name, a United Methodist Woman.
If you are new to us or not acquainted yet with the organization of United Methodist Women, I hope that you will watch and listen and slip into action when you see the perfect opportunity. Participation comes in many forms and levels of commitment and there is a place for you at the table. May we be the example of Christ to all those we encounter and serve. With all of us working together, it will be a year full of promise and fulfillment.

Crisis Intervention Center-Donations
The United Methodist Women continue to help the Women’s Crisis Intervention Center in Fort Smith. This year, we will be helping three difference organizations that need everyone’s help.
The Crisis Center is asking for household items that a person would use daily. The women and children at the center have left abusive situations with only the clothes on their backs. The hope is that within 45 days, the women have a job, a new home, and a new start.
We appreciate any help. A laundry basket is available by the church office, under the mailboxes for donated items.
Remember as women of Greenwood UMC, you are always included in all of our projects and welcome to come to the UMW monthly meetings.
